An Achievable Dream – January 2024

We donated over 30 pairs of shoes to An Achievable Dream – a nationally recognized K-12 program. The program is committed to the belief that all children can succeed and learn, regardless of their socioeconomic background. An Achievable Dream fulfills this through their commitment to provide social, academic, and moral education. An Achievable Dream operates six schools within the Peninsula and Southside, and we are thrilled to continue our partnership with them.

Samaritan House – December 2023

Our 2023 Run Local collection not only celebrated our community’s spirit but also supported a great cause. Each purchase or donation helped the Samaritan House, directly impacting lives in our community. Along with donations and $5 5K we raised almost $4,000 for Samaritan House.

Along with $5 5k donations, we donated a total of $700 to help provide Christmas gifts for 2 local families. Additionally, OS1st donated nearly 200 socks for kids in our community.

The Bra-ha-ha Fundraising Event – August 2023

During the month of August we partnered with Brooks and our community to raise funds for the Bra-ha-ha. In total we raised $1,922 which will provide free mammograms and other services to uninsured and underinsured residents of Hampton Roads.

$5 5K with Thrive Peninsula and Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore – July 2023

In Newport News, our participants demonstrated remarkable generosity, raising a grand total of $932, all in support of Thrive Peninsula. The following week, the Chesapeake group surpassed expectations by raising an impressive $987. All proceeds from Chesapeake were directly channeled to support the noble mission of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. We express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated, contributing to the success of these events.
