Overview:

Point 2 Running Company is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Inventory Manager to manage and optimize our inventory with a strong focus on footwear. This role is responsible for maintaining healthy stock levels, analyzing sales trends, and making data-driven purchasing decisions. The Inventory Manager will work closely with vendors, store managers, and the owner to curate the best product selection for our customers.

This position is 25-30 hours per week, with the option to be full-time. In addition to inventory responsibilities, the Inventory Manager will also work on the sales floor as a Running Consultant to stay up to date on product trends and consumer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set appropriate stock levels to ensure a well-balanced and healthy footwear inventory.
• Process monthly store-to-store transfers and complete the physical transfer using the Point 2 van.
• Place or assist vendor reps with monthly fill-in orders for footwear.
• Analyze sales and inventory data to make informed adjustments to future orders.
• Upload and manage future orders in Lightspeed after finalizing adjustments.
• Research and review new products from existing brands and potential new footwear lines.
• Assist the owner in writing future footwear orders during the spring and fall buying seasons.
• Manage Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) updates to ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
• Oversee the inventory schedule to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to promote new items in a timely manner.
• Work as a Running Consultant on the sales floor to stay connected to product performance and customer trends.

Qualifications:

• Experience in retail inventory management, merchandising, or a related role (experience is a plus but not required).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory reports.
• Proficiency in retail POS and inventory management systems (experience is a plus but not required).
• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well independently while collaborating with a team.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for store-related inventory transfers.
• Must have weekend availability (Saturday only).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
